Counseling

Mental health counseling for individuals, couples, and families

Counseling is a process that brings clients and therapists together to work on maximizing strengths, eliminating symptoms of distress and discomfort, and creating peace and enjoyment in life. It is never too early or too late to begin counseling. But to be successful, you must be committed to learn new behaviors and coping techniques, let go of non-productive patterns, and believe that with patience and focus as you change your inner world, your outer world will change too.

Each person is a unique individual who has likes, dislikes, interests and values that we will consider as we develop a plan to help you reach your goals. Sometimes writing, reading a pertinent book or article, or seeing a movie can be therapeutic. What is important is that you connect to the plan, materials, and the counselor!

The first step is to help you develop a sense of where you are. This involves looking at where you came from, what you have learned, and your beliefs about yourself and life. Then we will develop a destination for your life and craft a road map for how to get there.
